Today we released not just one but two dangerously, deliciously banging doses of drum and bass into the online stores!
The first was from Roxie Webb: “Forward” delivers a combination punch of rolling drums, with an extra slice of hype delivered by MC Tango Delta. As the first track on her first release, this is a huge statement of intent from this new producer. “Yeah” does things differently. This is where we see Roxie’s quirky influences really shine though. As samples are triggered and sequenced we can hear the experimental electronica approach in effect. Even then, it’s got those grimy sweeps of bass and emphatic drums that mean the rave hasn’t been forgotten. Check it out:
And the second Drum and Bass release? Well, Nysor is back with Frizent presenting their first release of 2017! Introducing ‘Dynasty Chronicles’ which leads you into the EP at a leisurely pace with ‘Summer’s Over’ before ‘Theory Style’ bounces onto the scene with its catchy vocals; then dangerously deliberate ‘Aggression’ brings the bpm down a notch again for its trap interlude… Dynasty Chronicles is punctuated, finally, by Frizent’s decisive ‘International Sound’.
New Keys / Needed is Klangkubik’s debut release on DeepDownDirty and we’re delighted to have a producer of his calibre on the label. In this release he takes you from the lighter, melodic side of deep prog to the darker side in gradual deepening increments from New Keys, through the Marc Haefner Remix and finally to Needed, bringing you three lose-yourself-in-the-music deep tracks.
